What Do You Need Before You Can Start Forum Marketing?

Before you can start forum marketing there are certain things that you need to have in place. In this article I shall describe the various things you need to have in your business before you can start forum marketing effectively. With them in place you can start building your business straight away.

Chosen Niche

You need to have already chosen the niche for your business. This niche should have plenty of buyers and people who are interested in it. A forum in this niche will be the place where your market can be found.

Squeeze Page

You need to have a squeeze page in place. This is where you will offer something for free as an incentive for people to sign up to your list.

Free Gift

You need a free gift to offer people for signing up to your list. This free offer must be relevant to people in your niche and therefore should be relevant to people on the forum.

Product To Promote

Once people have signed up to your list you will need something to promote in your email campaign. If you don’t promote anything then you will never make a sale!

Email Campaign

When someone has signed up to your list you will begin to send emails out to them on autopilot. You will need to set up some kind of email campaign in your Autoresponder so that as soon as someone joins your list they will receive emails on autopilot. These emails will be sent out at set intervals you have scheduled.

Your email campaign should focus on building up a good relationship with people on your list so that when you promote a product to them they trust you enough to purchase it.

Ideally the product you promote should be your own product that you’ve created but if you don’t have any products yet then you can use an affiliate product to promote. However, the product needs to be something that you know is good and that you can genuinely recommend.

When you have all of this in place then you can begin effective forum marketing. Of course it is possible to start posting on a forum before you have all of this set up but if you do then you will have nothing ready to offer people. You’ll not be able to build you list and you wont be able to generate sales in an email campaign.

Marketing Via Social Media: Reward Versus Risk: When Preparation Meets Opportunity

It is true that the way we do business is being defined radically and even as we speak we are being affected by the pressures and influence of Social media. If you have not noticed it your competitors are getting the jump on you as they redefine themselves through Social Media.

This form of communication and interaction has disrupted the way marketing has operated for decades. It’s a roller coaster development and is a very exciting evolution in the way we all do business and interact with each other, however it presents problems for many companies because, in just the twinkle of an eye (namely a few years), communication has shifted from a one-way conversation to a two-way discussion on ALL the social media platforms.

If you have NOT adopted the new paradigm by now, as a way to do business, not only are you going to fall behind your competition but more relevant is that you may not be able to last the distance.

Now, before we get concerned, it is just possible that your business does not need the power of social media and that your influence, impact, breadth and depth of business are unassailable. If this is the case, you are one of the chosen few or you may be retired and the idea of work is a far off echo.

However, for most of us, this process of social media has forced companies to reflect on vague and mysterious questions about how they should interact and converse with customers. This issue was raised by a couple of early adopter companies as they struggled to ensure employees aren’t damaging the brand, whilst not limiting interaction.

Google is such a company where they try to meet the needs of their employees with the now famous “Friday off, day,” as part of their creative push to encourage employees to do whatever they want on that day. Many innovative methods and ideas came out of it including the concept of Gmail. Have you also seen in the latest news that Google are committed to paying any Google employee’s spouse half the employee’s wages for the next 10 years in the vent of their death. A generous, innovative way to keep staff retention high as possible.

One of the big questions may well be, what can our business or industry do in social media? When we saw what the #Cairo hash tag contributed to the Egyptian uprising, I think we all saw that social media will NOT go away and that we better get educated about it, if we want to use this social interaction methodology, rather than be used by it.

If we align our business or companies with multiple social media presences, we need to have a good idea and understanding of our message, our brand, what we offer, our target market and a genuine desire to connect with those people, customers, clients with sincerity and a giving attitude.

Forum marketing is one of the effective ways to inform people about your products and services. Since it is one of the easiest promotional strategies, nowadays most of the people prefer to adopt this method for making their business more profitable than before. It is not only a simple way but also a cost-effective one. This is probably the reason why people are showing so much of interest to go by this strategy.

So, if you are planning to take up this tactical policy you need to have clear knowledge about forum marketing. According to this marketing strategy one registers a portal in which the user promotes his product highlighting its USP (unique selling point).

If you want to enhance sale of your goods you should always try to find out forums related to that product. Thereafter post an informative content in those forums. If you can post something useful you will definitely get a good result. So, always ensure that the post is informative as well as interesting.

But now a question may arise that how will you be benefited by this forum marketing. In this respect, it should be mentioned that people are allowed to add a link at the end of the post. So, there remains a possibility that people will come and click that link and will visit the site and ultimately it will lead to the expansion of sales.

Still if you are not feeling confident to go for this strategy you can consult a company offering standard forum marketing services.

Why Would You Use Forum Marketing?

Forums are online meeting places where people ask questions and exchange ideas. They are communities of like-minded people sharing thoughts on their particular topic. There are forum groups for every niche. To find your particular forum just make a Google search with relevant keywords and you will probably find a choice.

Why would anyone want to join a forum? Well there are multi media networks like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ etc. they all have their differences in a similar way forums are all different, different rules and agendas. They can be specifically geared to a particular topic or more general. Some are large and very active, where posts have a fast turn over, but a huge following; others won’t have a great deal going on. However the interesting posts lasts longer, so when you are choosing look at the posting dates and the number of followers, to see how active the forum is.

When working alone online and at home you may miss the comradeship of your office or workplace. Within forums you can build relationships with other members. If you need help with something you are working on you can ask a question, you will then get some suggestions from other members.

Because of this activity between members it makes a good place to gather some free traffic. When you answer others questions, or ask your own there is a signature box to attach your website link and a short call to action. If people like your comments they are likely to look and see what your website is about. You then gain relevant responsive traffic. Another benefit of forum traffic, it is organic, and will continue to grow as people add further comments to the posts over the weeks ahead.

You may already have a business online, or you may be looking for ideas. Do you want to set-up a simple online business working with a mentor to a tried and tested formula, where the products are provided together with training? Probably with sales pages and other tools too, to help you get started easily.

Affiliate Marketing could be the answer because much of the marketing is done for you. You can begin earning whilst you are learning the techniques and ovoid information overload. Later you can branch out into different online activities if you wish, once you nave learned the basics.

How To Stop Getting Distracted When Forum Marketing

In this article I am going to talk about using forums to generate traffic to your squeeze page. Also I want to suggest ways that you can use forum marketing so that you don’t get distracted.

Forums are a great place full of enthusiastic people who want to interact and share. There are so many forums now that you will find a good one in any niche area.

As an internet marketer you can use forums to build peoples awareness of your business and brand and also build valuable relationships.

To use a forum effectively for marketing purposes you need to add value. Everything you do must be for the benefit of those in the forum so that you are seen as knowledgeable and helpful.

Most forums allow you to have a signature link where you can promote your business. This is the place where you can add a link to your squeeze page and offer something valuable and helpful to people on the forum.

This enables you to build your email list with targeted prospects – people who are interested in your niche topic and if you continue to add value you will find that they become loyal followers and repeat buyers.

However, one of the downsides of using forum marketing is that it is so easy to get distracted while interacting in the forum itself.

Forum Distraction

Have you ever spent hours in a forum and at the end you realise that you didn’t actually provide any value yourself? All you did was read and read! You got distracted and hooked into the discussions going on.

This is exactly what you must not let happen – although it is the very situation that you yourself should create for others in the forum. Provide such interesting posts and threads that people get hooked!

This is what I recommend you do if you want to use forums for marketing your business and are struggling to stay focused.

  • Decide to add 10 valuable comments or posts to the forum. It is better to use a specific number of posts rather than set a time limit because time can pass by distraction whereas if you know you have to add 10 posts then you will not get distracted so easily.
  • Look at the threads in the forum and pin point the 10 that you can add value to.
  • Open up all threads in a new window so that you have 10 windows open.
  • Now go through each one adding your helpful comment.
  • Shut down the window when you have completed your comment and work on the next.
  • Eventually all 10 windows will be closed and you can then move on and do the next task which might be product creation.

Doing it this way really helps to keep you focused.
